Before long, Fay remembers the items he took off of the mage prisoner. "Amillë, I have this tome of magic and this ring I took off of yon mage. We must have them checked, they may be of use to us. Are there any here that can tell us of what use they be? Also, why have we not questioned our prisoners. Meh brain must be addled from fatigue. They have knowledge we lack. We must find a way to get that knowledge."

The ringing from outside intensifies, and then fades. This repeats a few times as the enemy work their way up and down the stone face.

Eventually, the sounds cease. It seems they were unable to pinpoint the entrance location.

When Fay finishes speaking with Lia he goes to find Onwen. "Onwen, I took these off of the enemy mage we took prisoner. Can you tell me what the ring is if anything? Can you tell me about the tome. Will it help in our defense?" Fay keeps his eyes on Onwen at all times after he hands the items over. "There is something about him, something since I confronted him regarding the mage" Fay thinks to himself.

Cratol sits to the side once the pinging stops. Until they try something else he will meditate and relax some.

Lia walks back to the group at the door. It is obvious that she is thinking about something. She pulls off her studded leather armor and then dons the breastplate suit that she found. It feels very restricting to her but she leans back against the wall and will relax and not speak unless spoken to. She plans to go to the battlements with Nyzahr after she is rested.

Out of Character: : She will take a short rest and go to the battlements afterwards.

Nyzahr has listened intently to Lia's comments and opinion and slightly nods her head in agreement.

She cracks a small smile when she realizes the enemy's efforts to find their secret door have proven fruitless. She triumphantly sends another batch of images to Lia:

- Enemy Is Baffled. Now We Must Rest And Come Back In Full Strength. Later We Harry Them Some More.
(Images of ambush and sudden attacks through the streets appear)

She returns towards Onwen and settles in a corner next to him. Soon more images appear in the mage's mind, expressing her curiosity and interest in his findings.

- The Boon Of These Objects Is Magic. This One Will Learn, If You Teach This One.

Out of Character:
1. Nyzahr is especially curious about the bronze band with the runic markings she found on the dead magus.
She also will start studying draconic with Onwen's help, although she realizes this will be a long arduous process: if Onwen is willing to teach her she'll dedicate herself and may provide him with a working knowledge of Infernal language in exchange (Maybe something useful for his necromantic experiments?).

2. Any chance the group can try for a long rest instead of a short one? As long as we keep an eye on the enemy, we can replenish our strength and take the offensive the following day.

Once the ringing had ended, and it appeared that for now the enemy had given up trying to find the entrance he gives a sigh of relief. Once they were gone and everyone begin to calm because of such, Geoffroy will relax a bit himself.

Lia turns her head as she receives the images from Nyzahr. She responds to the tiefling: " I like your idea. We must be cautious though. While they didn't find the door they know it's somewhere close. They will probably leave people close by to watch for us exiting the tunnel. "

She sits there quietly while studying the others. Who is that newcomer talking to Poljen? " We might look as the sun rises and see that the enemy has retreated. We struck the enemy mighty blows today. Imagine the celebration after the siege is lifted. Our two bards should be able to provide some wonderful entertainment. " She grins at Fay and Nyzahr.
