Velon is surprised by Lia's attack, but leaps into battle by moving closer to the creature and preparing to swing his sword. He stops at the last moment as the rock mass begins to speak, a bit frozen with awe, his sword still raised high over one shoulder.

Out of combat: Readied action for Booming Blade attack if the creature makes a hostile action towards any party members or a sudden attempt to flee. Not going to roll unless it's triggered. (I wasted a [Critical Hit] last time I rolled but didn't actually attack! (Laugh)).

Out of Character: Does it appear he is alive? I think this is the one that was alive last time from what I went back to and read. Do you need any check from me to determine if he is alive?

The key is easy enough for Fay to find, it is hanging from a hook on the wall. The cage door opens with a squeal. It is then when Fay notices the man's chest is moving slightly.

Fay turns to Mari and for the first time in many days does not say M'Lady, "Mari, go find a healer quickly. This one lives. Gods, I coulds't have saved this one last night!"

Fay opens the cage and as gently as possible removes the Elf.

Goeffory nods to the girl in agreement to what was said, before moving to Fay and saying, "When you have them, give them to me and I will provide what healing I can to help." Whether or not the half elf does the Morningliege will place his hands on the elf and offer a soft prayer to Lathander so as to help prove them with healing.

Mari races to find Lia. She runs into the room and slides to a stop with a stunned look on her face.

Lia looks at Mari. " Go Mari. Bring the others. There might be a problem. "
Mari turns on her heel and races to the torture chamber. Pausing between breaths she says" Lia sent for us. Seems there might be a problem. They were talking to… a stone stalagmite. "
