The drow will request to go with Lia, Perry, Mari, and Morgaine. More, as Perry for help in finding gear and equipment Zarra most needed. She will also say, "While we're here, maybe we can see if someone can make any dragon craft items out of what we have gathered." She was glad to have her companions with her for this, as she had been too uncertain to go off and do it alone.
On seeing Cratol, the drow keeps quiet. This, because she doesn't think she's in that position to criticize the monk given how much of a newcomer she had been compared to him. Zarra will allow the elven priestess to do the talking, being at out most Lia had more of a right.
The young woman looks to Lia with interest, and says, "My name is Sylmae, this is my brother Gaelin. You are the Cleric of Sune Cratol told me of? Please, take a look at this."
Gaelin smiles at Lia as his sister lifts the hood from his head, though only one side of his mouth moves. He says, "Hello beautiful one, are you here for the festival of Correlon?"
A dark piece of jagged metal protrudes from the side of his forehead, like some misshapen horn. The wound seems to have healed around it, though the skin is red and angry.
Sylmae says patiently, "No brother, the festival is not for some time. She is here to help with your hurts" Turning back to Lia, she says, "There's another bit of shrapnel in his side, and a third in his leg. A strange curse lingers in the metal. We have tried healers before, they were unable to remove them. Some kind of old magical artifact exploded at an event we attended, he… he was injured saving my life."
"Its a miracle that he lives, but he… isn't himself anymore. Sometimes he remembers, most of the time he does not. His personality changes on a whim, sometimes he even grows violent, though he never hurt so much as an insect before." Edited: daishain on 26th Aug, 2018 - 7:56pm
Cratol smiles at Lia and simply says. "I ask this of you as a favor and I will not demand it. Yes I left the Castle because of the suspicion I was shown. I helped this land by getting rid of a dangerous and evil artifact that was laying waste to the land. Was it right for me to leave at that time maybe not but it was something I needed to do to clear my head of how things were. I know you, Poljen, and Velon looked at me more as a stranger than a friend at times."
Turning to the half elves. "This is Sylmae who is with me. Her brother needs a healer and possibly a wizard to safely remove these metal shards. I was hoping that you and one of my.... Well I guess your friends since by the looks of you plus Velon and Poljen are giving me I am no longer part of the group. I guess I may be asking the wrong people. Sorry to disturb you and the Blaze."
He looks to Sylmae and her brother. "Come let's go back to your place and we can talk further if Lia and the others wish to come talk we can there."
He begins to assist Sylmae home. Turning g to Lia, "If you wish to talk please come if not I will understand. I would suggest Velon and Poljen not come as I think they would rather I was dead."
Velon speaks to Poljen but loudly enough for Cratol to hear, and does so in a boisterous, sarcastic tone as if he is thoroughly entertained, rather than an angry one. "The boy means to say that he left the castle because the traitor failed to steal it, thanks to the loyalty of Poppo, Esmerandia and others. It would be easy to confuse the two stories, I suppose."
He continues "I'm sure glad the little lord is not 'demanding' it of the great Lia Galanodel and the Silver Blaze. I imagine we'd have no choice but to bow to the lord if he did, eh? Ha! He speaks of not making demands as if he should receive an award for it!" Velon continues to laugh. "Let it be known to all, Velon Rodaan does NOT make demands of the Major of the city, nor the Baron of these lands, nor the King or Queen of this realm even." He looks at Poljen again. "That should be about three rewards coming my way now, right? No? Well I hope everyone is at least impressed that I'm NOT making demands. Good for me, I say!"
After Cratol says Lia should come along but Poljen and Velon should not he adds curtly, "Oh, I guess he is making demands." "I'm confused." "The little lord seems to want us to chase after his some more, eh? I'm glad to see the boy hasn't changed one bit while he was away."
Cratol looks back. "I guess you wish to do a healing of this young man in the middle of the market place then? I am sure all the folks here would live to see that. I was hoping to allow it to take place in a place more private but by all means let's do this out in the market place are as I am sure it is a spectical you want to be the leader over and be able to offer everyone around like you are the boss of everyone and your word is final. Never mind others feelings or privacy.". He turns Sylmae and her brother back around. "It is here your brother will be healed. I was hoping for a more private location. But I am not in charge here."
"Lia, what would you like to do? Will you try to heal him? We will even go with you, if you like. That part really is not up to the boy if he wants your help. It is up to you. I will not stand here, however, and listen to the traitor of the Silver Blaze, the attempted castle thief, the one who abandoned us as we headed to face a green dragon and truly long before that, blame us for his petulance."
"Sylmae, I do hope your brother can be healed, and perhaps the Silver Blaze can help. I'm tempted to warn you against the treachery of Cratol here, however. Alas I don't think it truly is treachery, sadly I think it is a boy who is quick with a stick, slow of thought, and yet again quick to cry like a child. He has no place with us. You, perhaps, could come with us and meet our wizard as well as Lia, depending on Lia's choice. The boy here can be of no more help to your brother, I'm afraid, or we wouldn't be here right now." "I am not a traitor of the Silver Blaze. Yes I left the castle and yes I tried to have it drop me off elsewhere first. I am sorry if you feel I am a traitor when I feel I am not. I know Some of you distrusted me form the last battle we fought and I left to get my head more straight but I never have said anything bad about the Silver Blaze or have never worked against it's interests as that is what a traitor is. I still am working to rid the world of the evil and keep certain forces from rising in power."
Poljen watches through hooded eyes as Cratol, Lia and Velon speak. At Cratol's last remark he says, "So you are sorry that WE feel as if you are a traitor? You are not sorry for doing things that would cause us to feel such a sentiment, I guess." The tall man snorts loudly, then turns to Lia.
"Lovely Lia, will you be able to heal this fellow? Be it here or in the castle? Or in some local inn? Maybe there is a temple nearby with healers who can aid you."
