Nurat the Merchant

Nurat the Merchant is known for her smooth talk. She would manage to sell a broken jar if she wanted to, and make the buyer believe it was worth every penny. She has no sense of guilt or regret, but rather lives life as it comes, trusting her intelligence rather than her morals to do so as comfortably as possible.

She is 5 feet and 4 inches tall and has a skinny appearance. Her shoulders and chest are bony and she has little feminine form. Her large eyes, accented by her sunken cheeks, and her childlike appearance give her a disarming charm that allows her to lure men into helping her whenever she needs brute strength.

She has hazel brown eyes with dark eyelashes and long dark brown hair with a fringe. Her skin has an eastern complexion by nature and in summer it tans quickly. She has a large scar on the upperside of her left lower arm and quite a few birthmarks on her arms, back and legs as well as one on her jaw and right hand.

She aspires wealth and security above all else, as this is what she has always been missing. She relies solely on herself and does not expect much good from others, unless she feels she has something to offer them, or feels like she has manipulated them into doing her will. She would like to find out what happened to her father, and hopes to make some friends soon, as she has felt lonely ever since she has lost her mother.

Advisor Description

Shortly after I entered the town and found a job as a jeweler, a wealthy dame came in, looking to buy a bracelet for her sister. Her name was Jenna, and she came across as snobbish and uptight. She did however, seem to take an interest in me. She wore a simple but elegant dress and a silver necklace, with detail that made my heartbeat fasten. Somewhat baffled by her appearance, I tried my best to stay calm and help her as well as I could. Upon leaving, she inquired in a low voice, ".. You don't happen to be Hilberts kid, are you? I muttered I did not know, and stood there confused as she nodded and left.

I thought about her a lot that day, and wondered if she knew my father, or had simply mistaken me for someone else. In any case, I decided, I had to find out. She had looked at me with a glance of hope on her face, as well as disbelief, and something about her made it impossible for me to put my mind off her.

The next few days I learned that this was not one sided, and I noticed her on the streets a couple of times, but she disappeared into the crowd any time I moved in her direction to confront her. Until some day at work, a messenger came to me and told me Jenna the Aristocrat had requested my company, as she had a job for me. I assumed it had to do with the jewelry craft, or perhaps I told myself so to keep calm, despite having a gut feeling there might be more to it, and I told the boy I accepted and would meet her in the inn that night.

Reflections on your mother

The memory of my mother still saddens me. I cared for her deeply and I know she was disappointed with who I was turning out to be when she passed away. It bothers me that I could not be the person she had hoped I would be, but it is simply not in my nature to be friendly and warm-hearted like she was. Her loving nature and contempt with her situation astonished me over and over, as my own passions regarding injustice, poverty and my father often got the better of me when I was younger. She did manage to teach me her calm manners though. I am proud to say I have the same rationality and contemplatieve nature as she had, and though my intentions may not be as noble as hers were, I will try to do good at least once in a while for her sake.

The Beauty of Lady Fluke

Her golden hair in all its grace,
Brings out fair lady's pretty face.
Hey cheekbones low and well defined
Ensure her eyes are emphasized
Eyes blue and bright and full of light
Make her a stunningly beautiful sight.

Reflections on your father

My father I know very little off. I have always imagined him with a tanned complexion, as I did not inherit that from my mother. He has only ever visited us when I was very little, and I have nothing but a vague memory of his broad and tall figure. Or perhaps that was just my perception of him. Mother has always been hesitant to speak about him, and I have never managed to figure out why. I would be curious to find out what kind of person he is. To see if I am like him in any other ways. Although perhaps it is better if I won't get that chance, as I am also rather angry with him and unsure if I could remain respectful. He did abandon me after all. And for what? War? Other women? Children perhaps? Who knows, I may just have a brother or sister. Now that would be some revelation.
