After years of neglect, Long Beach's historic Queen Mary is severely corroded and may collapse unless major action is taken soon. Engineers and other experts say the vessel is probably "Approaching the point of no return." Ref. Source 2y.

Such a nice ship to let fall into disrepair to the point it can sink soon. I hope that people can raise the funds to make this a historical ship that brought a lot of people to America.

Yeah, we've let a lot of historical ships fall into disrepair. It's very expensive to keep these ships afloat and we just don't do a good job raising the money.
