Bending sheet glass using lasers and gravity
A new technique makes it possible to bend sheet glass into complex or unconventional shapes with the help of laser beams. This opens up a whole new range of potential products for architects and designers. The researchers are taking advantage of a particular attribute glass has of becoming viscous and therefore malleable when exposed to high temperatures. Precise calculations and gravity do the rest. Glass Sheet Bending
Bending glass into nice interesting shapes will be very interesting to say the least. Having a corner window is nice but to have a combo corner window skylight could be even more interesting. I think there will be some very interesting glass shapes to mavel at soon.

Yes, or to have that corner window as a single curved pane would be pretty cool too. This can have applications in other places too as we develop stronger glass. Imagine an all glass submarine that can dive to great depths. Or an all glass plane that has virtually no seams and minimal air resistance… or cross section and is virtually invisible to radar.
