For a long time, researchers thought of the visual cortex as a brain area that determines what you perceive based on information coming from the eyes. Well, there is no doubt that we use our knowledge of past events to help us navigate through life. I think that is called learning *wink* Okay, kidding there to a degree. But in truth, we use similar situations to inform our decisions all the time. I guess the difference here is where in the brain these decisions are made.
