Oklahoma Death Row

Charles Warner has has been executed, the Oklahoma Department of Corrections says.

His execution was the first in the state since that of Clayton Lockett, whose lethal injection lasted 43 minutes. Warner was given five times the dosage of midazolam that Lockett got.

Warner was convicted of first-degree murder for the rape and killing of his then-girlfriend's 11-month-old daughter. Ref. CNN

The thing is, how long can they really "extend" his life? At one point he will die because he has committed a serious crime and justice needs to be served.

U.S. District Judge Stephen Friot has scheduled a hearing Friday for 40-year-old Donald Ray Wackerly II. Wackerly is scheduled to be executed by lethal injection on Thursday.
