Who are the significant persons (heroic, political, religious, military) of lore in Mexico that would make good characters in a role-playing game if you were to convert their known history into a RPG character? Consider Mexico's history and modern personalities in your answer.

I think Montezuma would be one for sure. He actually had the fortitude to stand to Cortes. For a more modern Role-playing Game I think Pancho Villa would be another excellent choice.
