Who are the significant persons (heroic, political, religious, military) of lore in USA that would make good characters in a role-playing game if you were to convert their known history into a RPG character? Consider USA's history and modern personalities in your answer.

There are so many people who could fit here it's crazy. I'll throw a couple out there and and see what anyone thinks.
Paul Bunyon - Fighter, great with an ax
Abe Lincoln - Probably qualifies as a Paladin due to his quest for right, also good with an ax
Martin Luther King - Here is a cleric type with a very high charisma
Pocahontas - Definitely a ranger
Audie Murphy - Most decorated US soldier ever, fighter - small size but a whole lotta heart
Jeb Stuart - One of the greatest cavalry leaders of all time - fighter
Phil Sheridan - The other great cavalry leader - fighter
Albert Einstein - Magic user, he must have been to figure out what he figured out
James Armistead Lafayette - A slave who volunterred to work as a double agent and whose reports helped win the Revolution - rogue
