Psychology Behind Gun Violence

Is gun violence contagious? Gun violence is mostly not contagious but rather an endemic issue for particular neighborhoods, according to researchers. That means place-based interventions like hotspot policing or greening vacant lots have the best chance to improve this problem. Source 7v.

Violence Gun Psychology

IMO: Gun violence is not contagious, but it is reflexive. Like any violence, when presented to any sane human being, the natural response is either fight or flight. The protection of ourselves and those we hold dear requires we react in some manner, when confronted with violent acts. This can result in reflexive or responsive violence in kind - whether guns, knives or fists - and is a natural response for any creature. The fear that seeing events like this recent one cause can make people who normally avoid guns and other methods for self-protection lean more towards buying/preparing themselves against such violence. The seemingly random acts these idiots do, and the willingness of the media to broadcast it far and wide - regardless of the actual facts at hand - make the world seem to be a scarier place. When someone decides that they want to kill people, any device is a weapon, some are just more effective than others. This same moron could have drove a truck full of propane canisters and dynamite through the doors of the church, completely legally acquired, and killed many more than he did. The method he chose reflects more his personal insanity than anything else. There is a psychology with having a gun in hand akin to the god-like feeling of throwing thunderbolts and having your enemies die, and this perversion of control carries into the minds of the fanatics.

Psychology Behind Gun Violence History & Civil Business Politics

No gun violence is not contagious. The left side would like everyone to believe that as a way to take guns away from everyone except police officers and the military. What a lot of people do not realize is that gun control does not work Chicago is a shining example of this.

Gun violence is perpetrated by a person who is not in their right mind and one that watches others do it and get talked about for weeks on the news so it makes the next one feel that they will be infamous for a violent act. Just like the others were made infamous for what they did. To them it is not the gun as that is just a tool. It is the violence they are looking to commit and the deaths associated with that violence. They will use what ever means necessary to do this violence as many have seen in the past.
