I have passed these people on the streets many times. It seems they are using T&T as a hub to get to the USA by camping out by the UN headquarters in Port of Spain. Shame the child has to go through this. Read more: Source 6c.

The truth is that Trinidad & Tobago do not have a proper asylum and refugee program. I cannot believe that they are telling these people to become self-reliant when they do NOT have authorization to work legally in the country!
