But there IS evidence proving that parents providing reasonable controlled access to alcohol under their supervision produces adults who end up with a lesser chance of alcoholism. In a country with zero tolerance, such as the USA, 62% of pre-drinking age teens have binge-drank, one of the worst kinds of drinking.

But I absolutely agree that no child under the age of 15 should be allowed to drink anything other than perhaps one small sip per week. Development of their bodies shouldn't be interfered with.
