Maria Butina - Russian Agent

Russian national Maria Butina pleads guilty to acting as an agent for the Russian government and agrees to cooperate with U.S. Prosecutors. Butina, 30, was charged in a years-long effort to infiltrate U.S. Political groups, including the National Rifle Association. While Butina’s case was brought by the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Washington and not special counsel Robert Mueller’s Russia investigation, her cooperation with prosecutors could shed light on the scope of Moscow’s influence campaign in the United States. She reminds me of the recent movie about how female Russian agents go all out to infiltrate the US, I think it was called 'Sparrow'. At least she is co-operating as she probably has nothing to lose at this point.
