Cancer vs Hiv

Which one would cause the most emotional, and physical damage to the individual and those around the patient: cancer or HIV?

I feel that question comes down to the individual and how serious is the condition. For instance cancer can be treated so it goes into remission- HIV can be treated as well.

I agree with above, however I feel HIV attacks and kills faster and what makes it worst than cancer is the ability to pass it on to others.
