Animal Paradoxical Behaviors

Neuroscientists uncover sensory switches controlling infanticide and parental behavior. Many species of mammals have evolved what appear to be paradoxical behaviors towards their young. Like humans, most exhibit nurturing, protective behaviors, and in some circumstances even act as surrogate parents.
