Pennies from heaven

Two rare one-cent copper coins minted in 1792 sold for $869,500 at the auction held this week in Anaheim. One of the coins, known as the "Birch Cent," sold for $517,000 and the other, known as the "Silver Center Cent," went for $352,500. Ref. Source 1r.
