The study, published recently in Harvard Educational Review, observed video data collected from 2009-2011 of 25 mathematics classrooms in middle schools that were either predominantly white or black. Race and stereotyping will always be a problem, but what's even worse is that if there are less factors for the students and teachers to connect or get alone - you'll end up having a chaotic situation. I'm not supporting either side of this, but I'm saying that if there's no proper relationship then we might have a certain degree of bias and unfairness at the end of the day.
