The article is trying to compare women who dress in shorts at various functions but I do not see the comparison. The courts have their own rules for both male and female and this has nothing to do with gender. She was definitely dressed inappropriate for court. In the photo it looks like it is her mother next to her, and she had better sense of what to put on.
