FORT COLLINS, Colo. — A man is recovering in a Fort Collins-area hospital after he killed a mountain lion in self-defense after the animal attacked him Monday afternoon at Horsetooth Mountain Park, according to state wildlife officials. Source 2t.

With these open spaces you got to have a weapon with you especially if you're alone. Luckily the man was able to suffocate the lion without too much harm, but he probably won't go back to the mountain park for a good while.
