Aala the Ranger

I was named Aala by my mother, as per my father's wishes. At the time of my birth, my mother prophesied that I would one day unite the land. All I want is that I wish to live in peace and fight only when there is no other option left. I am curious about the world and in order to understand it better, I have chosen the path of the ranger.

I am a young woman, considered tall around 6 ft with tan skin, dark hair and brown eyes. At first look I seem very unimpressive, but looking into my eyes tells quite another tale. I am not sure how I am to go about fulfilling my parents dream's, but I do wish to make the world a better place. I know I cannot do this alone and will need help along the way. I am looking forward to the future and what it may bring. For the better or worse, it will certainly be interesting.

Ranger Aala

Advisor Description

I can to know about my stepsister Anna, by some friend's of the family after my mother's death. My mother had been married earlier to a Merchant, but they drifted apart after a few years. They fought over various issues, which worsened after Anna was born. My mother wanted to ensure her daughter would be free to make the choices that she truly desired, not merely become a pawn in the effort to improve the family's wealth and social standing. She regretted her marriage and chose to leave her husband. The law decreed that being the only heir, it was fitting that the custody of Anna be placed in the hands of her father, in accordance with tradition.

Still my mother made efforts to keep herself involved in her daughter's life, despite the efforts of her ex-husband. Anna is 14 years older to me. My mother remarried when she was 12. For years after that she was angry with her mother for remarrying. I guess she thought that her parents would get back together, despite all evidence to the contrary. During her youth, she got involved with smugglers selling contraband items and addictive substances. After a few years, after seeing the harm her actions had caused, she started regretting her involvement and ceased her activities. These days the most excitement she gets is from the scrolls and bards telling v
Tales of adentures, that come through town.

We first met at our mother's funeral. It was both awkward yet strange. We both resemble each other quite a bit and she is a bit smaller than me. Standing side by side anyone can tell that we are related.

Over the next couple of days and months, we started talking and sharing details about our lives. Anna likes me, but I guess it will take her some time to fully trust me and be completely open. I guess I just need to keep on trying.

Reflections On Your Mother

My mother led a very hard life, yet she handled everything with grace and dignity. She loved both my father and me. She didn't want to trouble me with the past and preffered to deal with her problems by herself. Now I know that her separation from Anna was truly troubling her, leaving behind a emptiness in her heart. My mother was a woman who was concerned about the larger issues, but she never forgot that at the heart of it, family was truly what mattered and gave meaning to ones life. I wish to fulfill both of my mother's dreams - bringing peace to the land and making my family whole again by bring back Anna into our lives.
