The Game Master says...

Even though you each come through the portal at varying moments time and space alteration make it as though you were there all along. Thus, the two travelers are not surprised nor reactive as you materialize into this world.

Krusten's question does surprise the old woman as she replies,

"Well tomorrow of course!"

Thorin tries to see the face of the traveler who does not talk but as he moves so does she so as to better conceal her face.

To Sapphire the woman says,

"This be meh granddaughter. Now, we must be off, its getting late and soon the wolves will be out."

Without further ado she turns, cutting the conversation short and starts walking down the road towards the village.

Krusten isn't satisfied with what just transpired so she calls out to the old lady and runs up almost standing in front of her path so she would have to stop. "You did not introduce me to your granddaughter, I will very much like to meet her."

The adventurer, Thorin the mighty, left the Llafair Museum after using a curious looking Time Key and came into this new world.

Thorin sees the flat way in which Krusten approaches the two. While he is suspicious he think a move like that will do more harm than good so he runs up and offers an explanation, "What the lady is trying to say is that we were not thinking and had no manners in not offering a greeting to your granddaughter and will like to do so now."

Folding her arms, Sapphire was not able to make out anything significant about these two, so she observes from where she stands. Her attention is towards the surrounds to see what is in the area besides the village.

The Game Master says...

The old woman frowns at Krusten but then is pleased by Thorin's approach. She says,

"Never ye mind that, meh grand daughter is sickly and in need of help so she cannot salute thee at the moment but I bid thee farewell and let it suffice."

They continue towards the village after walking around Krusten.

In the mean time, Sapphire observes a lot of hills with the village in the center of it all. There are forests but they are sparse and the thicker growth is further off.

Krusten watches them pass her with an obvious look of suspicion. Her attention then turns to Thorn and with an unhappy grin she says to him, "What are you, Mr. Knight in shining armor here to make the situation better?" She folds her arms not even caring about the travelers anymore.
