Photoacoustic Imaging - F-mode

Hears the pitch: Team invents a new mode of photoacoustic imaging. Physicists developed a new mode of photoacoustic imaging called F-mode. This new mode selectively enhances photoacoustic image features based on the size of the object and the sounds it produces. Source 4l.

It does makes sense in a way, the bigger the object the lower the sound frequency will be and the opposite applies to the smaller objects. This can actually help for analyzing unknown things in space if this technology becomes more developed.
