I just saw the trailer of Dora and the Lost City of Gold. It features Dora from the cartoon as an older high schooler trying to adapt to city life. Looks interesting. One of my boys said, "This Dora looks serious".

I was honestly expecting boots to have some sort of voice, but I don't think it was a good idea to change a kids show to a grown up one. It kind of ruins the nostalgia too - I bet kids will be confused to see their good kid Dora having a knife with her now.
