Did This Judge Do The Correct Thing?

This is a heart warming tribute to veterans, however do you think acts of war service should entitle you to get a free pass for breaking the law? Would your local judges have done the same if you told them you were a veteran?

Thing Correct The Judge Did

It just comes down to the morality and perspective of the judge in the situation. For this one, the judge seems to try and connect with the veteran and shows a sense of empathy, allowing him to go free of charge. I do know that he probably won't do something like that again if the veteran ends up in court again.
