Problems Emotional Obesity

It could either be just the 'socioeconomic' status as one of the factors mentioned or it could just be that there is a very common condition whereby children in this general has a higher chance of experiencing abnormal emotional distress and obesity?
Even though I'm not an expert on this field, I do believe it has to be genetically related. Let's say for example to how GMOs have a possibility of corrupting our mind and body which will take effect later on. Therefore, if that was true, wouldn't the children brought in the future also carry the same problem but from young?
