I also played a lot of Pokemon games as a kid a lot as well. It's more likely the nostalgia and repetition of the past made us 'connected' to what we engage on for a long time.

As Felipe says, happy memories of rushing home to watch a new episode of Pokémon always comes when I see some thing related to it. I still watch the new episodes with my husband!
