That is a good post but not like you have much choice now to do anything else. I just hope you can keep them off until we get there.
OOC: Yes, just made a roll. Can't make heads or tales of what the statistics mean. Well I am just going melee with my longsword, I really can't see a bow being very useful at night, and I am not sure of the moonlight quality, so I am assuming it's black out.
I just remember camping up north and stepping out of the tent to relieve the old bladder and nearly breaking my neck because I could hardly see my hand in front of my face. Even after my eyes adjusted there was no way I could throw a rock and hit a tree ten feet from me let alone shoot a bow. Edited: Tiphereth on 4th Mar, 2009 - 2:50am
OOC: I am hoping it is a small enough group that myself and crusher can get behind them and maybe shoot some arrows into them from behind causing them to be confused. This would allow us to hit them from at least two sides. The chances of getting one who is injured from there goes up greatly.
If we get there late and the battle didn't go well then a surprise attack on them will be the way to go. The darkness thing and them with wolves does not improve the odds though. I will come back later to see if the DM updated the story.
OOC: Looks like we will be behind them crusher. As they try to come back towards death mouth we can attack them. If they are meet good resistance from the wagon we can clean up those who try to make it back in deaths mouth. Either way if we stop them from getting back we will force them to send more out to see what happened to their friends. But we still need to take out the other look out post.
OOC: I read the update yesterday but could not reply. Wow, what a story to have one of us shoot our own party player I never thought that was even possible.
IC: Amrynth seeing the riders approaching fast, looses his arrow from the cover of the rocks, then dropping the bow, picks up his already drawn longsword leaning nearby.
He awaits to engage in melee with his sword.
OOC: ! I like the turn of events. Amrynth actually was armed with his longsword and hadn't even notched his shortbow, but I re-read the Party Leader Post and a GM could only interpret that the character's at the wagon may be inclined to use their bow(s).
Like I said before, bows and night time are a bad combination! When I used to GM adventures I made sure people got struck by friendly fire when shooting into darkness.
(I had previously stated that he had drawn his longsword, so it would be appropriate that he had it at ready beside him when he used his bow.)
To be completely specific: When I stated that Amrynth gathered his gear, from the wagon I meant that he gathered all of his possessions, putting the items into his 2 large sacks and hauling it into the rocks, thus completely abandoning the wagon. Edited: Tiphereth on 5th Mar, 2009 - 5:12pm
