When you hear politicians speak what do you often think about? For me its acting or lies. Very few politicians are ever true to their word. I'm just an average citizen that is constrained by laws and policies that make it hard to get my basic human rights while it seems others with power and affluence are unconstrained by those same laws and policies. Is this how civil society works?

It reminds me of the definition of a 'clique' that means "A small close-knit group of people who do not readily allow others to join them". Political figures and law makers are this sort of 'official' clique that constantly support themselves over and over while taking advantage of the larger population that cannot participate or they get punished accordingly.
