One-fourth of children with autism are undiagnosed. One-fourth of children under age 8 with autism spectrum disorder -- most of them black or Hispanic -- are not being diagnosed, which is critical for improving quality of life. Source 1x.

I think it's related to the fact that Hispanics and blacks are more likely to be poor, therefore doesn't have access to the care or testing that may be needed to diagnose. I suspect they also do not have access to the information about Autism to help them.
