Having a fossil found to link the T-Rex to its ancestors is great. I think the whole general species of dinosaurs to be interesting. To think something that big could have lived on the earth before man.

Study finds T. Rex had 8-foot mini precursor

Tyrannosaurus rex's likely ancestors started small - but perfectly armed - some 125 million years ago, dinosaur researchers reported Thursday. Puny arms, massive jaws, swift legs - all characteristics of the king of the carnivores - adorned a newly discovered dinosaur, Raptorex kriegsteini, reported by the journal Science. But Raptorex was only about 1/5 the length of tyrannosaur and flourished about 40 million years before T. Rex appears in the fossil record. Ref. Source 5

I like that they are finding all of these dinosaurs but I still wonder about what really happened to them and why do we not have proof yet?

Tyrannosaurs ran with the wolves in dinosaur history

It's very interesting to see the evolution of dinosaurs, we may differ greatly from their species but it opens the mind to imagine how we evolved and what we could evolve into. The more information we collect the more knowledge humankind will obtain, the more progress we will make into a vast array of possibilities in technology. Hopefully within our collection of information and knowledge we will discover cures for disease and antidotes for longevity. We could possibly learn a great many things from the study of dinosaurs, maybe not as far fetched as cures, but it still opens the mind to the possibilities.
