Explosive Hurricane Ida makes landfall near Port Fourchin, Louisiana, as a treacherous Category 4 storm with 150-mph winds. The National Weather Service warned of life-threatening storm surge, potentially catastrophic wind damage and flooding rainfall for much of the Northern Gulf Coast.
