Americans With Disabilities Act - Ada

Supreme Court sides unanimously with disabled student in case that could give families more leverage in disputes with schools. Miguel Perez was assigned an aide who didn't know sign language, and he ultimately lacked the right skills to graduate high school with a real diploma. The Supreme Court ruled unanimously Tuesday that he didn't have to exhaust the requirements of federal special education law before suing his Michigan school district for damages under the Americans with Disabilities Act.
