October 17th, 2008
On Friday morning just after 12.30, Sandy was walking along Angelina Terrace on his way home when a gunman approached him. The gunman, who police believe Sandy may have known before, went in search of money.
Because Sandy knew he was at home and therefore was safe, investigating officers believe he put up a struggle against the bandit. But the thief turned killer and squeezed his gun's trigger, shooting Sandy in his chest. Sandy slumped to the ground and died on the spot.
