We all knew that the chinese would sooner or later build up its navies so it could better protect its homeland from ships bombarding it. I think the chinese have a long way top go before they are the naval power that rivals the USA.

From the article above this is mostly a training vessel that has been outfitted from a Ukraine ship. China plans to create its own home design aircraft carrier in the near future.
