I am hoping that there is a lot of truth to this study. As I try to be calm and relaxed as much as possible this can help me a lot in the future. I know it will help my blood pressure.

Dementia Prevents Calm Staying

This makes sense. Perhaps people who aren't calm may be in situations from which they would like to escape, and dementia is an escape from reality.

There's an expression, "stir crazy," dating from 1908, which indicates a condition that some people may develop, after prolonged confinement.

I think research such as this is valuable. If I knew the results of more such studies, I could speculate further.
