Comments: This kind of thing started with the Blair witch thing. It made a ton of money. People like to be scared. Then you have the movie Paranormal Activity. That I remember watching it, it also said it was a TRUE EVENT. And at the end some tender statement to add to the realism of it. Then you see the real actors on T.V. 6 months in a interview saying it was made up. As far as I'm concerned the movie makers are just doing the Blair Witch thing with more money.If this way a real murder case you would be about to call any police or FBI to find out. But, if you did ask they would probably just laugh at you. Sad to say there is a lot of money out there to be made on fear and they have the money to do it.

They did the same thing for "The Texas chainsaw massacre" saying it was a true story when there was no chainsaw crazy family in Texas it was based on Ed Gein a 1940s killer in Wisconsin. The names in the strangers are fictional. Don't believe everything you read [see].

What has happened here is a mixture of occurrences to make it look real. The writers and producers did very well to make you believe that a crime took place and it happened exactly like this. I can well imagine that crimes might happen similar to this but no real crime happened in this exact way with these names.
