.SHTML Does not open with FireFox

Why do .SHTML web pages not open with FireFox but they show in IE?

Short from FireFox being applied wrong with the mime type you may want to check the server to see if there isn't a setting causing that to happen. Make sure in the .htaccess one of the types is not .shtml because I've seen that happen.
