No he is not god and he in not the one to make a decision like this. His personal opinion about the couple or the single mother should never come into play. Who says he will make the correct decision.

Of course not! It is insane to think that way. There is a standard procedure to follow but I don't think any doctor should have the right to decide whether someone is fit to be a parent or not.
