Algeria - 0 / England - 0 at half time. I am hoping Algeria can win this (yes I usually support the 'underdogs'). Algeria has a terrible end game but good ball control. They are fortunate to have a goal keeper than doesn't have butter fingers like Green with the amount of shots on goal they've been getting from England.

Algeria - 0 and England - 0. The second half was much like the first with the match ending without one goal being scored. England had more opportunities than Algeria and wasted each one. Algeria gave up the ball too easily especially during the end game, it was as though they were happy just defending.

I think the England Under 21's would have played better against Algeria.
They would have had a better attitude and a passion for victory.
Cappelo has got the whole approach wrong, a mindless 4-4-2 with each player playing for himself will book them a flight home.

I thought the germans were playing flat footed and they deserved to lose. I think the Referee of that game was very card happy. I am glad that Serbia won that match.

The first half of the USA vs Slovenia was much of the same as the England match. The USA team was not in the game at all. The second half was a total 180 for the USA team even though they played a great second half they would have won if they played that way in the first half. I very much doubt that Slovenia would have scored twice on them. I could see the USA scoring more than two goals if they played and entire game.

With England ending in a tie with Algeria it gives the algerians a positive outlook when they face the USA in the next round. England I believe has shot themselves in the foot with this tie. They will need to win their next round with outscoring the USA team by at least two goals. As things stand now the USA team will move on but it will not be easy. Hopefully they will wake up more now.

I really don't know what is the big deal about England, they are so overrated in my opinion. Rooney being the number 1, what is there for exactly?

Kntoran, I don't think the referee in Germany's game was card happy I think the players were playing very dirty to be honest.

I was very impressed with Donovan from the USA and the black guy (forgot his name), they are really good. It's amazing to me how far the US have reached in football.

Yes I am impressed with how well the USA team is playing. I just wish they would stop all the come from behind mentality.

I am hoping that the Netherlands, Denmark and Australia all win. I would hope that Denmark shows that they have a nice team and not just show up to kick a ball or two.
