Dozens feared dead after 6.2 earthquake strikes Italy
At least 21 people were killed and dozens more were missing or feared dead Wednesday after a magnitude 6.2 earthquake and a series of aftershocks struck several towns in central Italy. The death toll climbed in the morning as rescuers searched for people trapped in the rubble. The hardest-hit towns were Amatrice and Accumoli near Rieti, about 80 miles northeast of Rome. The quake's epicenter was about 105 miles northeast of Rome. The U.S. Embassy restricted all but essential official travel to the area and recommended that U.S. Citizens defer travel in these areas as well. Ref. USAToday.
Well its way past 40 now the last I heard it was past a 100 and more. I'm amazed that a 6.2 earthquake could kill so many people it must had its epicenter in the heart of a clustered area.

Now its heading towards 300 from what I heard and the people are getting really scared with the aftershocks because its making some buildings fall that were badly damaged.

Another earthquake for Italy, not a good sign. From what I have seen in the news, there are around 290 people killed in this event. At least the shock wasn't a big one otherwise a tsunami can occur. Hope this doesn't escalate further.
