Hillary Clinton Visiting Trinidad Schools

Hillary Clinton wants to meet with secondary school students when she comes on April 17th, she will probably meet them on April 19th so arrangements are on the way to plan for such meeting. Will she meet a typical government school from Trinidad? You judge: The four possible schools are St Mary's College, Fatima College, Bishop Anstey High School or the International School in Port-of-Spain.

That's a Sunday, if she hopes to meet with some students then they are going to dread having to come out - or maybe not. Why not some Junior / Secondary / Composite schools? International School of POS certainly does not represent the regular school system here unless her purpose is to determine if there are adequate facilities for the children of dignitaries should they come to live here.

Well, it is obvious that they do not want to show her the *true* Trini schools, she did not choose the schools, it is being chosen for her. They want to portrait an image of the country and its people that just doesn't exist.

Its not that it does not exist, it's that it exists only among the MINORITY and I mean a very small percentage of the entire population of the country.

Yes, I stand corrected. I wish she could meet with a regular government school and not a prestigious one since the kids that need MORE encouragement from a world leader are those kind of kids. Once again, we put them in a corner and pretend they don't exist.

Most governments try to do this unless you are from a poverty stricken nation looking for a handout. Therefore the Manning government is no different from others, BUT you cannot fool people, people know and can see the difference from true progress and modernization and just a front. A good example of this was the total mess at the old Firehouse in POS where media journalist could not get passes even though they were promised them long in advance.
