I am so concerned one of my kids get it, the way people sneeze and cough all around you WITHOUT covering their mouths is disgusting! I don't understand how they cannot see it!

Let us be quite clear: the H1N1 virus, or swine flu, is not dangerous. It is highly contagious but the flu symptoms are not generally life-threatening and, in fact, you are more at risk if you get the more common flu. Ref. Source 3

Confusing H1N1 messages

FLU response personnel are doing a commendable job in explaining the current situation with the pandemic in terms of its uncertainties. Although belated, the message is clear-we just don't know how much the H1N1 virus is likely to spread, and realistically our best hope is that it will fizzle out rather than thrive in the climatic conditions that prevail in the Caribbean at this time of the year. Swine Flu Trinidad - Page 3

Look out, based on what I saw on TV6 the WHO is saying that this country is likely to have another wave of Swine Flu / H1N1 influenza virus. With a few schools closing and children continuing to be infected one has to wonder if it will not reach alarming rates based on the cleanliness level of most Trinis (Discussed in other Threads).

According to TV6 the Ministry of Health has confirmed that two people have died from the H1N1 (Swine Flu) virus. Seems like there is also a third, but that has not yet been confirmed.
