Are there comics so good that you are a regular subscriber to them? Is it merely for a trial period or do you regularly renew?

Personally, I've never actually subscribed to a comic book mailing for a couple reasons:

1. Local comic shops back in the states often have free subscription services for books on request - you wind up getting the book when the store gets it (at cover price, granted), which is a bit faster than waiting for your single issue in the mail.

2. If I enjoy a book enough to follow it monthly (Walking Dead, for instance), I'd like to get it from my local shop to help support them a bit. Getting it directly in the mail leaves them out of the process.

What titles are you folks reading monthly? I'm enjoying (and horribly behind on) Walking Dead, Lore, Punisher, and mini-series/spin-offs of Steve Niles' 30 Days of Night series.

I have never actually subscribed to any comic mostly because I travelled around too much as a kid, however, when it came to Batman, I would be sure to buy each issue as it came out.
