Italian Mafia

Well, this country has no extradiction agreements so it doesn't surprise me at all if criminals seek shelter here. Fortunately, most of them cannot live without high standard luxuries (what's the point in having lots of money if you have nothing to spend it on?) so they are not so difficult to track down. Good job! I'm proud to see the huge progress made by the Italian police in the war against mafia during the last decades.

Didn't I read somewhere on here that the Italian PM was a former mob boss or probably he still is and just put it on the back burner for now, maybe they should go after him too.

Italian Mafia Politics Business Civil & History

He's a big tycoon and nobody builds a financial empire without having the right "Friends" in the right places, including connections with the mafia. But, for how much I don't like him, saying that he is a mafia boss is too much. Fortunately, in Italy police and some judges can still act without being kept under control by the political parties. That's why some of his old friends are already in jail and mr Berlusconi is called to face several trials.
