Children in Ecuador only have to attend school from age five to fourteen. Parents usually have to pay for their child's schooling. Only a small percentage of kids get as far as high school.
Football/soccer is the number one sport in Ecuador, but a number of people enjoy tennis or even bullfighting.
Most of the population is Roman Catholic because of the Spanish influence, there are however, people of other religions like Judaism and Latter Day Saints.
