I was speaking with my oldest son and I told him that as soon as I secure a job, we will both put some of our money to feed hungry children. For US$10 a month, 500 children in Africa can be fed.

Raj Patel on America's Growing Hunger Crisis and the UN Summit to Fight Hunger in Rome
More than 49 million Americans-or one in seven-struggled to find enough to eat last year, according to a report from the US Department of Agriculture released Monday. That's the highest total since the federal government began keeping track of food insecurity. Meanwhile, leaders from most of the world are gathered in Rome to tackle hunger on a global scale at the UN World Food Summit, but leaders of the world's richest countries were largely absent from the summit. We speak with Raj Patel, author of Stuffed and Starved: Markets, Power and the Hidden Battle for the World's Food System. Ref. Source 3
Hungering for a True Thanksgiving

"In the next 60 seconds, 10 children will die of hunger," says a United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) online video. It continues, "For the first time in humanity, over 1 billion people are chronically hungry." Ref. Source 9
Trump coverage detracting from Africa & Middle East famines, UN agency warns. The media's constant focus on US President Donald Trump means the risk of famine in Africa and the Middle East is being overshadowed, the head of the UN's World Food Programme (WFP) said Ref. Source 8z.
Yes, there are so many more important stories out there but the press is fixated on President Trump? Why is that? They have this false story about him releasing classified information to the Russians. News flash, he is the ultimate classification authority for any information we have. He can declassify anything he wants and any time… period. That said, it hasn't even been proven he gave them what these anonymous sources are saying he did. World hunger takes a backseat along with everything else.
We interrupt World Hunger to share infobreak from the journals of some good thinker:
