Introduction FarSeer
It's only two blocks from where we are now. Julie will stay in the same school for the rest of this year, but in the fall she will be in middle school so she would have had to change anyway. We'll have to change wards (again! ) but we know folks in the new ward from before the boundary change four years ago. Also, the bishop is my boss's brother-in-law, and my boss's parents are in that ward
Keeping it all in the family, I guess.We took Julie's dad and uncle to see the house yesterday. They pointed out some things I wouldn't have noticed - for instance, the water heater is actually rusting through in some places. I couldn't even figure out how to open the cabinet it's in, let alone figure out what the spots are. The whole family is talking about what a great deal I got.
It's exciting, yet terrifying. A really big responsibility to take on, but the prospect of owning a home has me over the moon.

Thank you so much, Diane! Sad to say, escrow didn't close Tuesday, but should close tomorrow. Some issue with the lead paint. But we hope it will be resolved and we can get it done before the holiday weekend! I really appreciate your thoughts and kind words
