Thanks, I appreciate your kindness and perspective of how the Community is maintained. Are you 100% with your son now? Ant prospects for yourself? Are you enjoying your new home without the sound effects that come from apartment buildings?

Oh no Roz! I'm so sorry to hear about your sweet pet passing. sad.gif How are you all handling it? Some dogs love to run about and chase cars, was it this case?

Sorry to hear about you pet. I know that losing a pet is not always easy especially when they are young. I hope that you recover quickly from the tragedy. My prayers are with you. My cats and dogs send their prayers too.

JB - I missed your post from before. Yes, I'm 100% with my son now, although he is now working in a city an hour from here and has been promoted... so that means he is as busy as I am! We rarely have time to get together, maybe once every two or three months. But we do at least have a relationship, and he does call me. It's wonderful to have a home of our own! We do still have neighbor noises, but not right up against our walls... just landscapers and dogs and kids and such, and one neighbor has really loud parties on weekends sometimes. But there is no cigarette smoke coming in the windows 24/7, no one "just dropping in" at all hours. It's been very nice. I'm sleeping better than I have in ages.

Soli & KNtoran - thank you for your thoughts and prayers. We didn't have her very long, but she was already in our hearts. It was a terribly sad day. She did not chase cars, she was afraid of them, but she couldn't stand not being able to go and do everything she wanted and she managed - after two months of trying! - to find a way to get out and explore. She had such energy! Let me tell you, our house is so quiet now. I hadn't realized just how she filled it up -- and she was only four pounds! We're doing okay, I think especially because we still have her companion with us. We are just about loving him too much...! Today, we are going to the Home Depot to get some paving stones to mark her garden spot, and some little flowers to plant there. It's all part of life, and the risk we take in caring for these little creatures is that their lives are often so short.

100% with your son is excellent news.

No mention of prospects - not so good.

Sorry about your dog. I lost many pets to moving, disease and hit and runs, so I know how you feel. I shared many tears over it while growing up. I can't say I was so sentimental as to make a grave for them, but then again I never had my own home to do so either. Now, I refuse to have a pet until we are fully settled.

I'm not sure what else you do with them, then? It didn't feel proper to put her in the trash. ...

I read your blog, how scary that must have been for you. I do know the feeling having been through that in the past many times, and the biggest regret has always been the invasion of your space - you feel violated. What have you done to secure home since that time? You should invest in simple motion detectors with an alarm system.

My goodness! Reading your blog truly gave me the shivers! sad.gif I'm so sorry you are going through this, particularly because of little Julie as well. *sigh* The last part of your blog (when you heard someone in your backyard, again!) is something that concerns me a lot.

Is this a bad neighborhood? Is there some sort of neighborhood group that is interested in the safety of the area? (I know in the US this is pretty common). I think you should invest in an alarm system as soon as possible. If the person is truly a homeless man then he won't return if an alarm is set.

*sigh* What a scary experience my friend! My heart goes to you and your little daughter. We will keep you all in our family prayer tonight. God bless!
