FarSeer Introduction - Page 68

Yes, I *did* do my homework. This area is right at the edge of some really, really nice neighborhoods. My mega-rich boss lives just a half a mile up the same road.

Maybe it's just a cyclical thing, like the weather ..? .. We did think of getting a big dog, but that seems like trading one problem for a whole group of other problems - digging, barking, drooling, and the *cost* to feed them - not to mention the problem of flies from ...er... dog "waste." One little dog it's not so much wink.gif

We'd feel safer - maybe; big dogs aren't necessarily fierce! I've seen some pretty wimpy dogs that were huge. So we're still debating whether to get an alarm system, but again there is a cost factor.

Since we've added extra locks and are taking extra precautions with lighting, I think for now we're doing okay.

Introduction FarSeer

Sounds like you are feeling much more comfortable in you home now. That is great! In my city it is the rich areas that get broke into the most, Makes sense they have more nice things. All the break in could have been stopped by KNtoran's tips though. All occurred in broad daylight. I like you boosted some of the weaknesses also just need to get that rear yard sensor.

Yes, the tips are great, and we now just use more caution in general. I'm considering getting a big flashlight to keep in the car. Then when we arrive home after dark we can sweep the yard with light to check for anything obviously out of order.

Introduction FarSeer

FarSeer, you must live on a street similar to how neighborhoods are made up here. For instance a large house can be next to or near to a dilapidated one. The sad thing is it only takes one bad apple in the bunch to have a negative effect. Do you have an effective neighborhood watch? If not, maybe you can start up a committee.

spock.gif A great way to meet other potential single handsome rich men in the area too.

FarSeer Introduction

Uh, not *right next to* each other. It takes a few blocks to get from the nice homes to the not-so-nice ones. So, maybe the boss is more like 2 miles rather than a half mile.

Roz

And, by the way: Single, handsome, AND rich? You are so funny, JB. Not in my little town.
